Ageing Well Celebrates
25 Years!
We are thrilled to announce that Lewisham Churches Care has received a generous grant from Global's Make Some Noise toward the work of Ageing Well in Lewisham (as well as our partner project, Bring Me Sunshine) over two years.

This gives us substantially more financial security to continue our welcoming and inclusive groups for older people.

Global’s Make Some Noise is the official charity of Global, the Media & Entertainment group and funds vital life-changing projects across the UK, delivered by small, local charities, with the aim of making sure nobody is left alone to face life's toughest challenges, including social isolation and physical and mental health issues.
Charity Partners will also be supported by a Learning and Development programme to support their longer-term operations and sustainability. Global’s Make Some Noise also raises awareness of the wide range of issues its funding supports with over 29 million weekly listeners across Global’s radio brands including Capital, Heart, Classic FM, Smooth, LBC, Radio X, Capital XTRA and Gold Radio.

THANK YOU!!!

Lewisham Churches Care and its project arm, Ageing Well in Lewisham, celebrated 25 years in 2025 of improving the lives of older people.

We had a fabulous party in October including members, partners and supporters. The Befrienders singing group led everyone in song and we danced the afternoon away!

Promoting
Physical Health

Keeping fit over 60 can be a challenge at the best of times, and even more so with our busy lives. Why not try out our fun seated exercise group on a Wednesday?
Or give these exercises a go from the comfort of your own home.
Supporting
Well-Being

Studies have proven that getting out and socialising with others is the best way to stay healthy physical, mentally and emotionally.
However, on those days you can't make it out, there are still people to support you and deliver to you. Find out how to get help.

Exploring Creativity
Pursuing creative hobbies is a great way to keep your brain active and enhance dexterity.
We have some ideas for easy projects that you can tackle with supplies you may already have.
